The Compression series consists of objects composed of hand-drawn threads of glass. Each line is intuitively bent and positioned, then fused in a kiln into a compressed form. While the material conforms to the mold, the line resists full obedience—it twists, overlaps, and loops with its own agency, preserving a record of movement and decision within constraint.

A mirrored surface anchors each object, functioning as both a literal and metaphorical plane. It reflects and refracts light, offering moments of clarity while obscuring others, inviting questions about what lies beneath. These works engage with what is unseen or overlooked, resonating with my broader practice that investigates how systems of language, gesture, and material are built, fractured, and reassembled.

Compression embraces disorder within structure, echoing how we navigate complexity through repetition, accumulation, and subtle acts of resistance.
