Saliva prints

photogram of artist saliva

The “Saliva Print” series are photograms of the artist saliva printed on B&W large format photo-paper. Through this microscopic view of the discarded bodily fluid, something socially found to be disgusting, it becomes beautiful, familiar, but yet unknown. Retaining qualities of glass or other fluid materials, the rings of the bubbles look like a topographical map of the moon surface or suggestions to other relatable images. It is in the moment the audience discovers the origin that the work becomes alive.
